The folding or bending of metals is a forming process in which there is no separation of the material by performing a deformation to shape around a certain angle. It is a forming or pre-forming operation that is performed in the machining process of the pieces.
For the Shaping process there are several methods where one or more machines are used depending on the piece and shape that we want to obtain. The machines most used in forming for the folding or bending process are the press brake and the hydraulic press.
